Baseball Recap: Hudson Comes Up Short

Hudson's tournament run continued when they took on Tyler Legacy on Thursday. The Hudson Hornets fell just short of the Tyler Legacy Raiders by a score of 8-6.

Aidan Bonacci stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he got two hits. The team also got some help courtesy of Cutter Warren, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Even though they lost, Hudson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. This was only their first loss (out of three games) when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Hudson now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Tyler Legacy, their win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-4.

Looking ahead, Hudson will challenge Northside Falcons HomeSchool at 7:39 p.m. on Tuesday. Hudson's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so Northside Falcons HomeSchool's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Tyler Legacy, they will square off against Rockwall-Heath at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Rockwall-Heath's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
