Baseball Game Preview: Maple Hill Wildcats vs. Bethlehem Central Eagles

The Maple Hill Wildcats are taking a road trip to face off against the Bethlehem Central Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Maple Hill came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 15-2 to Coxsackie-Athens. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Riverhawks recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Bethlehem Central didn't have quite enough to beat Shenendehowa on Monday and fell 5-3. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sean Matrose and Sam Spector did some serious damage despite the final result: Matrose got on base in four of his six plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI, while Spector went 2-for-5 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run.

Maple Hill's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Bethlehem Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.

Maple Hill might still be hurting after the 7-1 loss they got from Bethlehem Central when the teams last played back in April. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
