Volleyball Recap: Sabetha Takes a Loss

Sabetha was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sedgwick Cardinals.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Sabetha sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-14, 9-25, 25-13.

Leading Sedgwick to victory were Briella Steventon and Jennah Wallace. Steventon had 11 digs and two assists, while Wallace had three digs and two aces. Steventon has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Sabetha's loss dropped their record down to 3-21. As for Sedgwick, their win bumped their record up to 21-8.

Sabetha didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Hays on the 4th. As for Sedgwick, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Silver Lake on the 4th.
