Basketball Game Preview: Yankton Bucks/Gazelles vs. Stevens Raiders

Yankton hasn't had much luck against Stevens recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Yankton Bucks/Gazelles will head out on the road to square off against the Stevens Raiders at 6:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Yankton is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 16th straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They had to suffer through a 75-34 loss at the hands of Pierre T.F. Riggs.

Stevens has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were dealt a 59-30 defeat at the hands of Brandon Valley on Saturday. The match marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Yankton's loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Stevens, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-4.

Yankton ended up a good deal behind Stevens in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, losing 42-26. Can Yankton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
