Basketball Recap: Coral Gables Gets the Win

On Saturday, the Coral Gables Cavaliers earned a 75-66 win over the Plantation Colonels.

Several Colonels players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Malaki LeGrande, who posted 21 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jabari Washington, who had 19 points and seven boards.

Coral Gables now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Plantation, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.

Coral Gables has already played their next match, an 84-73 loss against Miami Country Day on the 14th. As for Plantation, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 73-63 victory against McArthur on the 13th.
