Basketball Recap: McNair Comes Up Short

On Saturday, the McNair Eagles came up short against the Lathrop Spartans and fell 59-47.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lathrop to victory, but perhaps none more so than Joseph Perkins, who went 8 of 15 en route to 19 points along with six rebounds and five steals. The match was Perkins' third in a row with at least ten points. Caiden Wisnieski was another key player, dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten boards.

McNair's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Lathrop, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McNair will square off against Weston Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lathrop, they are taking a road trip to challenge Central Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lathrop is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.3 points per game this season.
