Chandler Prep took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Gilbert Classical Academy, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Titans came out on top in a nail-biter against the Spartans on Friday, sneaking past 6-4. For the Titans, this counts as revenge for the 10-0 win the Spartans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2022.

The team relied heavily on Colman Smith, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Isaac Swanson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Chandler Prep is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.9 runs on average over those games. As for Gilbert Classical Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-11-1.

Looking ahead, Chandler Prep is taking a road trip to take on Lincoln Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
