Volleyball Game Preview: Beachside Barracudas vs. Forest Wildcats

The Beachside Barracudas will head out to challenge the Forest Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Beachside beat Menendez 3-1.

The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 16-25, 25-16, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Forest entered their tilt with Dunnellon on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wildcats have posted since May 1, 2024.

Forest wouldn't go down easily and took Dunnellon into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The final score came out to 14-25, 25-20, 25-19, 25-27, 15-11.

Forest's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Beachside, their win bumped their record up to 4-10.

Beachside came up short against Forest in their previous meeting back in April of 2023, falling 2-0. Can the Barracudas avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
