Union City had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Bradford on Tuesday. The Golden Tornadoes blew past the Red Devils 10-3. Considering the Golden Tornadoes have won nine games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was Union City's fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-7. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Bradford, their loss dropped their record down to 13-10.

Looking ahead, Union City will host Humboldt at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Vikings have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.33 runs per game on average), something the Golden Tornadoes will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Bradford, they will head out to square off against Hickman County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
