Basketball Game Preview: Ravenna Ravens vs. Coventry Comets

Ravenna hasn't had much luck against Coventry recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Ravenna Ravens will be playing in front of their home fans against the Coventry Comets at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Ravenna turned things around against Mogadore on Tuesday. They walked away with a 67-55 victory over the Wildcats.

Meanwhile, Coventry posted their biggest win since December 19, 2024 on Friday. They really took it to Springfield for the full four quarters, racking up a 62-34 victory. The Comets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Ravenna pushed their record up to 5-15 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Coventry, their victory bumped their record up to 12-7.

Ravenna was dealt a bruising 74-42 defeat at the hands of Coventry when the teams last played back in December of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Ravenna was down 39-12.
