Basketball Game Preview: Redmond Mustangs vs. Woodinville Falcons

Redmond hasn't had much luck against Woodinville recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Redmond Mustangs will head out to challenge the Woodinville Falcons at 1:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Redmond is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Washington's top teams: Issaquah, who was ranked 14th at the time (Redmond was ranked 24th). Redmond took a 57-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Issaquah on Thursday. The match marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Woodinville was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 55-49 to Lake Washington.

Redmond's defeat dropped their record down to 22-3. As for Woodinville, their loss dropped their record down to 22-4.

Redmond took a serious blow against Woodinville in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 74-44. Can Redmond avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
