Baseball Recap: Oasis Academy Beats Pershing County for Their Third Straight Win

Oasis Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Pershing County Mustangs. That's two games straight that the Bighorns have won by just one run.

Ryder McNabb made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted over his last five matches. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two RBI.

In other batting news, Joshua Gusewelle was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. That's the most runs he has posted over his last 11 contests.

Oasis Academy's win bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Pershing County, they dropped their record down to 5-13 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.
