Basketball Recap: Blackford Comes Up Short

On Saturday, the Blackford Bruins came up short against the Fort Wayne Snider Panthers and fell 73-60. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Fort Wayne Snider's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Xavier Wilson led the charge by going 9-for-15 on his way to 22 points. Another player making a difference was Trell Hogue, who went 6-for-13 en route to 17 points and three steals.

Blackford's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Fort Wayne Snider, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-9 record this season.

Blackford will head out to challenge Muncie Burris at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fort Wayne Snider, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Marion at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
