The Serrano Diamondbacks will head out to take on the Eisenhower Eagles at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Serrano gave up the first runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They put the hurt on San Gorgonio with a sharp 16-3 win. The Diamondbacks' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Serrano let Aila Berlanga and Carlie Moore run wild. Berlanga went 3-for-5 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Moore went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most hits Moore has posted since back in March of 2025. Kaia Felix was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Serrano always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .590. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Eisenhower took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 23-5 margin over Loma Linda Academy. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Roadrunners: they've now won four in a row.
Eisenhower got a massive performance out of Milani Paige, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Azaleah Baca, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
The win got Serrano back to even at 2-2. As for Eisenhower, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
