Basketball Recap: Sullivan East Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Eli Hubbard and Thomas Ridlehuber

Sullivan East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss. They took a 63-46 bruising from the Elizabethton Fighting Cyclones. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Fighting Cyclones this season, with their most recent defeat being a 73-68 loss back in January.

Thomas Ridlehuber and Eli Hubbard certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Ridlehuber posted 18 points, while Hubbard went 6-for-8 en route to 12 points and five assists. Another player making a difference was Blue Proffitt, who scored seven points.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Sullivan East was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. This was only their 18th loss (out of 22 games) when they've passed the ball that well.

Sullivan East's defeat dropped their record down to 4-25. As for Elizabethton, their win bumped their record up to 17-10.

Sullivan East does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Elizabethton, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 71-48 loss against Tennessee on the 22nd.
