Soccer Game Preview: Dooly County vs. Treutlen

The Dooly County Bobcats will face off against the Treutlen Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Dooly County's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for eight straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Dooly County is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Crisp County on Tuesday. The Bobcats fell 2-0 to the Cougars.

Meanwhile, Treutlen entered their tilt with Wheeler County on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. Treutlen wouldn't have won without Maya Brinson, who scored the game-winner.

Treutlen's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Dooly County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

Everything went Dooly County's way against Treutlen in their previous meeting back in March of 2025, as Dooly County made off with a 6-3 win. Will the Bobcats repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
