After losing to Lake City the last time they met, Marion decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Marion Swamp Foxes came out on top against the Lake City Panthers by a score of 50-43 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Swamp Foxes.

Marion's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaeda Davis, who posted 18 points and four steals. That makes it 14 consecutive games in which Davis has scored at least a third of Marion's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maliyah Williams, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Lake City lost, don't look at Na'Shira Starks. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten boards. Those 17 points gave Starks a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hannah Riles, who had 12 points.

Marion's win bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Lake City, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 14-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Marion nor Lake City have any future games scheduled.
