Softball Recap: North Raleigh Christian Academy Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

North Raleigh Christian Academy waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Ravenscroft Ravens with a sharp 18-3 victory. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Ravens, too.

North Raleigh Christian Academy got a massive performance out of Cora Harmsen, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave Harmsen a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelsey Knox, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

North Raleigh Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They are 2-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

North Raleigh Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Ravenscroft, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Raleigh Christian Academy will welcome Durham Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ravenscroft, they will host Cary Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cary Academy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19.8 runs per game on average), something Ravenscroft will no doubt try to take advantage of.
