Basketball Game Preview: Whitharral Panthers vs. Motley County Matadors

The Whitharral Panthers will take on the Motley County Matadors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Whitharral is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 12 games.

Whitharral is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 72-69 victory over Klondike.

Meanwhile, Motley County posted their closest win since January 10th on Tuesday. They skirted past Petersburg 38-35.

Motley County's win came from a few key players Whitharral will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Elizabeth Morales, who posted 16 points and five rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Motley County's points. Jada Richards was another key player, putting up eight points.

Motley County's victory bumped their record up to 14-19. As for Whitharral, their win bumped their record up to 23-7.

Whitharral came up short against Motley County in their previous matchup back in December of 2020, falling 47-34. Can Whitharral avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
