Basketball Recap: Bruning-Davenport/Shickley Takes a Loss

Bruning-Davenport/Shickley lost against Wilber-Clatonia back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bruning-Davenport/Shickley Eagles fell to the Wilber-Clatonia Wolverines 41-37.

Wilber-Clatonia was led to victory by Aiden Zajicek and Cooper Palmer. Zajicek almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds, while Palmer posted ten points and six rebounds. With that strong performance, Zajicek is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game.

Bruning-Davenport/Shickley has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Wilber-Clatonia, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.

Bruning-Davenport/Shickley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 73-34 defeat against Cross County on the 2nd. As for Wilber-Clatonia, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 62-49 loss against Cozad on the 2nd.
