Antioch posted their closest win since September 17, 2024 on Saturday. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 13-12 victory over the Freeport Pretzels. The win was nothing new for the Sequoits as they're now sitting on four straight.

Antioch's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tanner Ludwig, who threw for 238 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per attempt.

Antioch didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Abbigail Fuesting, Kaile Maloney, and Evie Baronello picked up one apiece.

Antioch's win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Freeport, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.

Antioch will welcome Lake Zurich at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Freeport, they will head out on the road to challenge Harvard at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Pretzels will be up against the Hornets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31.85 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
