Baseball Recap: Moffat County Comes Up Short

Moffat County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They lost 18-7 to the Meeker Cowboys. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cowboys this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 on Tuesday.

Moffat County saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tanner Musgrave, who scored a run while going 1-for-5.

Moffat County's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Meeker, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-8.

Looking ahead, Moffat County will face off against Coal Ridge at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Titans have now posted at least ten runs in their last six matches. As for Meeker, they will take on Rangely at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.43 runs per game on average), something the Cowboys will no doubt try to take advantage of.
