Football Recap: Spring Creek Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Spring Creek extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 12 on Friday, dropping them down to 0-6. They were beaten by the Midway Raiders 51-8. The Gators were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-0.

As for Midway, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 23 points or more this season.

Midway was led to victory by Tanner Williams and Wesley Tew. Williams threw for 123 yards and two TDs, while Tew rushed for 131 yards and one score on only six carries. The dominant performance also gave Williams a new career-high in passer rating (156.3).

Coming up, Spring Creek will welcome Rosewood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Gators will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 37.5 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Midway, they will venture away from home to take on James Kenan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers' defense has only allowed 15 points per game this season, so the Raiders' offense will have their work cut out for them.
