Sadly, St. Joseph is still looking for their first win of the season after eight games. They fell victim to a rough 7-0 defeat at the hands of the Mountain View Yellowjackets on Friday. St. Joseph was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Mountain View apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2022.
St. Joseph's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Mountain View, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Joseph will take on Crowley's Ridge Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Crowley's Ridge Academy's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for Mountain View, they will play host again on Monday to welcome Buffalo Island Central, where kickoff is scheduled at 4:30 p.m. Mountain View is strutting in with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 4.7 goals per game this season.
