Christian had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the South Christian Sailors by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Christian had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 15-25, 25-20, 25-15, 25-22.

Despite the loss, South Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Meg Schreur had 34 digs and two aces. Those 34 digs set a new season-high mark for Schreur. Another player making a difference was Brooke VanderLaan, who had 14 assists and nine digs.

Christian's victory bumped their record up to 35-9. As for South Christian, their defeat ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 24-9.

As of now, neither Christian nor the Sailors have any future games scheduled.
