Soccer Game Preview: Bluffton vs. Hilton Head Island

The Bluffton Bobcats will head out on the road to square off against the Hilton Head Island Seahawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Bluffton took a loss when they played away from home back in February, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Beaufort a 2-0 shutout.

Gabriela Gallegos and Brynn Calendine scored both of Bluffton's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Meanwhile, Hilton Head Island faced Bishop England in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Seahawks won by a goal and slipped past the Battling Bishops 1-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for Hilton Head Island.

Bluffton now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Hilton Head Island, their record now sits at 4-2-1.

Bluffton came up short against Hilton Head Island in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, falling 3-1. Can the Bobcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
