Meanwhile, Brewer won against Cullman on Tuesday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. Brewer walked away with a 6-1 victory over Arab.
Lawrence County's defeat dropped their record down to 19-25-2. As for Brewer, their win bumped their record up to 15-10.
Lawrence County came out on top in a nail-biter against Brewer in their previous meeting back in May of 2023, sneaking past 2-1. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Brewer's Bronwyn Borden, who didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits over four innings pitched.
