Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Pyper Barnard and Hannah Wells Lead Bandera to Victory

Bandera had won two straight games and Sydney Moore did her part to make it three on Saturday. The BULLDOGS walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Edison Golden Bears for which the team can thank Moore, who had ten kills, ten digs, three blocks, and two aces. She has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 15 times she's played.

Bandera not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Edison between 19 and 21 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-21.

Bandera was led to victory by Hannah Wells and Pyper Barnard. Wells had 14 digs, while Barnard had five kills, three digs, two aces, and one block. Those 14 digs gave Wells a new career-high.

The win got Bandera back to even at 9-9. As for Edison, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Bandera will head out to challenge Jourdanton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Edison, they will welcome Sam Houston at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
