Baseball Game Preview: Winters Warriors vs. Colusa RedHawks

Winters is 2-8 against Colusa since March of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Winters will head out on the road to face off against Colusa at 4:00 p.m. Winters will be strutting in after a win while Colusa will be coming in after a loss.

Winters played against Esparto on Friday and won via forfeit.

Colusa is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 14th straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They came up short against Durham, falling 9-3.

Ashton Gutierrez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Carlos Franco also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Winters and bumps their season record up to 3-9. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Colusa, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-13.

Winters beat Colusa 12-7 in their previous matchup on March 7th. Will Winters repeat their success, or does Colusa has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
