Ganado was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Ash Fork/Seligman on Saturday. The Hornets were the clear victors by a 16-4 margin over the Spartans. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.
Ganado got a massive performance out of Dante Curtis, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances. The Hornets are 7-2 when Curtis posts two or more stolen bases, but 3-7 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Cordell Etsitty, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Ganado kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ash Fork/Seligman only managed five hits.
