Baseball Recap: Cedar Springs Takes a Loss

Cedar Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Allendale Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-5 on Monday.

Quinton Bell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Callen McCulloch was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Cedar Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 4-21. As for Allendale, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-17.

While Cedar Springs had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
