Recap: Mapletown Maples vs. Jefferson-Morgan Rockets
After soaring to 65 points the game before, the Mapletown Maples were a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. Their rough 47-24 loss to Jefferson-Morgan might stick with them for a while. Mapletown has struggled against Jefferson-Morgan recently, as their match on Thursday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Jefferson-Morgan was led to victory by Jase Bedilion and Dayten Marion. Bedilion scored 13 points, while Marion dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Bedilion continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Huston Guesman, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Mapletown's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Jefferson-Morgan, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.
The pair will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Jefferson-Morgan focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Thursday. As for they, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mapletown at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mapletown is hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
