The home team had won the previous five meetings between North Branford and Haddam-Killingworth, and North Branford kept the tradition alive. The Thunderbirds blew past the Cougars 3-0 on Wednesday. The Thunderbirds were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Cougars, so the Thunderbirds were just returning the favor.

Ella Chasanoff paced North Branford's offense, picking up 17 kills. Chasanoff got some help from Lauren Vitarisi and her 24 assists. Vitarisi also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Brianna Kundrath, racking up four apiece.

Despite the loss, Haddam-Killingworth still got an impressive performance from Ava McNamara, who had 12 digs and two aces.

The victory got North Branford back to even at 2-2. As for Haddam-Killingworth, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

North Branford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Coginchaug Regional on the 11th.
