Volleyball Recap: Thayer Central Takes a Loss

Thayer Central was the 2-0 winner over David City when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Titans fell just short of the Scouts by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Piper Havel paced Thayer Central's offense, picking up 25 kills. Havel got some help from Olivia Wiedel and her 50 assists. Wiedel was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Thayer Central's defeat dropped their record down to 21-4. As for David City, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season.

Thayer Central has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Wahoo on the 18th. As for David City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against H&H on the 21st.
