Softball Recap: Lorain Comes Up Short

After flying high against Cleveland Heights on Monday, Lorain came back down to earth. The Titans came up short against the Euclid Panthers on Thursday, falling 14-8. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

Lorain has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Euclid, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.

Coming up, Lorain will head out to square off against Huron at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Titans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season. As for Euclid, they will host Laurel at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
