Soccer Recap: Anson Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Anson faced off against Central Academy on Tuesday. The Bearcats lost 9-2 to the Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Central Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-1 back in March.

Alaysia Caraway and Leigha Clarke scored both of Anson's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 15 goals.

Anson has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9-1 record this season. As for Central Academy, they moved to 5-10 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Anson has already played their next matchup (against Parkwood), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Central Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 5-1 defeat against North Iredell on the 10th.
