Williamsburg is 9-1 against Benton since June of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Raiders will venture away from home to take on the Bobcats at 5:00 p.m. Williamsburg is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Williamsburg and Vinton-Shellsburg have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Monday. The Raiders' pitchers stepped up to hand the Vikings a 7-0 shutout. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Benton challenged Monticello on Tuesday. The Bobcats were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Panthers. That ten-run margin sets a new team best for the Bobcats this season.

Williamsburg's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Benton, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Williamsburg came out on top in a nail-biter against Benton when the teams last played back in July of 2025, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Bobcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
