Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Roman Cooper and Noel Green Lead Homeschool Resource Center to Victory

HomeSchool Resource Center lost to Kankakee Trinity Academy back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Patriots enjoyed a cozy 63-49 win over Kankakee Trinity Academy. That 14 point margin sets a new team best for the Patriots this season.

HomeSchool Resource Center was led to victory by Noel Green and Roman Cooper. Green dropped a double-double with 19 points and 22 rebounds, while Cooper posted 27 points. Green is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 23 games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Aiden Colon, who had seven points and six boards.

HomeSchool Resource Center smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 16 offensive rebounds in four consecutive matchups.

HomeSchool Resource Center's victory bumped their record up to 3-4.

HomeSchool Resource Center has already played their next contest, a 52-41 win against Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family on the 22nd. As for Kankakee Trinity Academy, they will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Illinois Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
