Baseball Recap: Ridgefield Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for Ridgefield's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trumbull Eagles on Saturday. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 5-0 to the Eagles when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

This is the second loss in a row for Ridgefield and nudges their season record down to 9-11. As for Trumbull, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Ridgefield is set to face off against their familiar foe New Canaan at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Trumbull will square off against rival Ludlowe at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Eagles 1.9, the Falcons 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
