Basketball Recap: Mount Airy Comes Up Short

Mount Airy suffered their closest loss since January 12th on Monday. They fell just short of the West Stokes Wildcats by a score of 47-44. The Granite Bears just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Mount Airy's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for West Stokes, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mount Airy will square off against South Stokes at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for West Stokes, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the West Stokes Wildcats challenge the Morehead Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. West Stokes is facing Morehead at the right time seeing as Morehead is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
