Softball Game Preview: Andover Panthers vs. Cuba-Rushford Rebels

The Andover Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Cuba-Rushford Rebels at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Andover's offense. They lost 8-0 to Bolivar-Richburg on Thursday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Cuba-Rushford entered their tilt with Fillmore on Friday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Eagles, sneaking past 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rebels have posted since April 21st.

Kate Radomski was excellent, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Arlah Shaffer, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.

Cuba-Rushford's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Andover, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.

Andover suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Cuba-Rushford in their previous meeting last Tuesday. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
