Soccer Recap: Evangelical Christian Starts Season with Loss at Home

Evangelical Christian unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Marco Island Academy Rays by a score of 4-3 on Thursday. Evangelical Christian were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Marco Island Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2018.

Evangelical Christian hit Marco Island Academy with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Emanuele Reschini, Owen Schild, and Aiden Alvarez-Santos.

Marco Island Academy now has a winning record of 1-0-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Evangelical Christian will head out to challenge Babcock at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marco Island Academy, they will venture away from home to take on Mason Classical Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
