Baseball Game Preview: Frontier Falcons vs. Jamestown Red & Green

For the second straight game, Frontier will face off against Jamestown. The Falcons will face off against the Red & Green at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Frontier will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Frontier is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 17-3 margin over Jamestown on Friday. With that victory, the Falcons brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.

Robby Kibler made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Kibler was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Evan Sullivan and Jacob Hudson did most of the damage at the plate: Sullivan went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Hudson went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Sullivan has posted over his last ten matches. Another player making a difference was Chase Porter, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and three RBI.

Frontier was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .474. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Frontier's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-5. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Jamestown, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-12.
