Basketball Recap: Richland Center Comes Up Short

Richland Center was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 24th straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 54-21 loss at the hands of the Kickapoo Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 455th, while the Panthers are ranked 142nd).

Richland Center's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Kickapoo, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Richland Center has already played their next game (against Weston), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Kickapoo will face off against Wauzeka-Steuben at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Kickapoo is on a four-game streak of home wins, Wauzeka-Steuben a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
