Galena has gone 9-1 against Southwest recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Bears will welcome the Trojans at 6:30 p.m. Galena is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
Galena had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Hurley on Tuesday. The Bears were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Tigers. The Bears not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 22nd (when they won 3-0).

Galena found their leader in freshman Addison Williams, who had five aces and four digs. Williams is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served five or more in each of the last three games she's played.
Galena was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. They are 11-1-1 when they serve at least ten aces.
Meanwhile, Southwest unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to McDonald County.
Southwest was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-23, 25-14.
Galena will have to keep a close watch on Olivia Hnem and Abi Hnem, a pair of players who had a big impact on Southwest's prior game. Olivia had 16 digs and two aces, while Abi had ten digs and eight assists.
Southwest's loss dropped their record down to 11-17-3. As for Galena, their win bumped their record up to 17-10-3.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's match: Galena has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 9.1 aces per game. However, it's not like Southwest struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.3 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
