Baseball Game Preview: Lompoc Braves vs. Paso Robles Bearcats

The Lompoc Braves will head out on the road to take on the Paso Robles Bearcats at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

Lompoc proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 13) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Paso Robles, sneaking past 5-3.

Ignacio Lara looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Cameron Baker, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one triple.

Lompoc was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

Paso Robles' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Lompoc, their record now sits at 2-0.

Lompoc came out on top in a nail-biter against Paso Robles in their previous meeting on Tuesday, sneaking past 5-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lompoc since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
