After flying high against Highland last Tuesday, Lone Tree came back down to earth. The Lone Tree Lions fell 51-44 to the Columbus Wildcats on Friday. The Lions' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Lone Tree's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Columbus, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Winfield-Mt. Union the next time they take the court. Lone Tree will head out to face Winfield-Mt. Union at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Columbus will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th.
