Softball Recap: Valley Union Takes a Loss

Valley Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 13-12 heartbreaker at the hands of the Fort Thomas Apaches. Even if the Blue Devils couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Valley Union's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Fort Thomas, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-12.

Valley Union does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fort Thomas, they will host Duncan at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
