St. Michael the Archangel barely beat University Academy Charter the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Guardians put the hurt on the Gryphons with a sharp 19-5 victory on Monday. The Guardians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by six runs or more this season.

Colston Lyon was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That home run was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Maverick Cure, who got on base in four of his six plate appearances with four runs, three RBI, and one double.

St. Michael the Archangel was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in four consecutive matches.

St. Michael the Archangel is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for University Academy Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.
