Basketball Recap: Dora's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Dora came into Tuesday's game having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Elida Tigers by a score of 48-36 on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Coyotes, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hardy Fraze, who posted eight points.

Dora's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-11. As for Elida, they now have a losing record at 7-8.

Dora will welcome Lake Arthur at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Dora is facing Lake Arthur at the right time seeing as Lake Arthur is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Elida, they are taking a road trip to square off against Gateway Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Elida is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.2 points per game this season.
